Welcome to the

Church of the Advent.

Summer at the Advent includes a slower  pace of life and programing, but there are many highlights to celebrate. We will be honoring our youth and graduates on Youth Recognition Sunday. The Confirmation class had a glorious confirmation service in May, and the parish we will recognize and honor them on June 12th.  That will also be the day of our Parish Picnic.

We also support a youth mission trip to New Orslip and slide 1leans that will be departing in July. The youth will be taking on many service projects, meeting local people, learning from the spiritual leaders of the community, and spending some great time together in fellowship.

In August, we look forward to celebrating the feast of St. Mary which this year will also be our annual Slip and Slide Sunday. All the children get to wear bathing suits to church and slide on the front lawn after the Eucharist.

We will again be co-sponsoring Vacation Bible School with our Baptist and Congregationalist friends. More information can be found on the right hand side of this page. confirmation pic 1

The Advent is a loving and faithful community that seeks to follow Jesus in our often chaotic modern world.  We worship the Lord in the "beauty of holiness" with theologically rich liturgy and a warm, joyful spirit.  I encourage you to make the Church of the Advent your new spiritual home.  We will all be better for your presence.
