  • The Reverend Lynn M. Campbell, Priest-in-Charge

The Rev. Lynn Campbell was called to serve as the Interim Rector of the Church of the Advent in March of 2022 and became the Priest-in-Charge in June of 2023. Ordained in 2011, she previously served for 6 years as the Rector of St. Peter’s in Weston, MA, and for 5 years as the Associate Rector of Christ Church, Needham, MA. Prior to becoming an Episcopalian and discerning a call to ordination to the priesthood, she worked as a college campus minister at various universities and as the Manager of Volunteers and Pastoral Care at St. Francis, a homeless day shelter in Boston.

Lynn grew up in the Roman Catholic tradition and is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. Following graduation she participated in the Jesuit Volunteer Corp in San Diego before completing a Masters of Divinity at Weston Jesuit School of Theology in 2003. She also received an Anglican Certificate in 2010 from the Virginia Theological Seminary.

Lynn loves to spoil her niece (7) and nephew (4) who live in New Jersey and to spend time with her parents who live in Delaware. She is also a foster parent for infants and toddlers so will at times have a little one in tow on Sunday mornings

  • Eric Bouwman-Wozencraft, Music Director

Eric Bouwman-Wozencraft was raised in the United Methodist Church, and before being hired as minister of music at Church of the Advent in 2010 he had only attended two Episcopal services in his entire life – and the first one was a service with no music.

Eric earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Oklahoma City University in 1985 (which included two years of organ lessons), graduating summa cum laude. Considering entering ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Boston University in 1991, but in the process discovered a love of piano teaching, and so became a piano teacher and church musician instead.

Having previously served as music minister at Methodist and Baptist congregations, Eric finds the structure and predictability of the Episcopal liturgy to be much less stressful.

Eric is married with two grown children, and lives in Medway with his wife, his mother-in-law, his youngest child, his little dog Fifi and his youngest’s cat Bella.

  • Kristina DeFrancesco, Parish Administrator

Kristina DeFrancesco came to Church of the Advent in May 2022.

She has worked as a graphic artist, journalist, English teacher in Japan, newspaper editor, copy editor, and communications specialist. She also had a private healing practice as an energy worker and licensed massage therapist.

When Kristina moved to Massachusetts in 2009, she stumbled into a job at an Episcopal church and found her faith home. She loves combining her communication skills with her passion to follow Jesus’ commandment to “love one another.”

When she’s not at Advent, she continues that work as a freelance designer focusing on churches and non-profits.

She and her husband live in Attleboro with three rescue dogs who fill their lives with love and fur.

Our Vestry

One of the most important ways lay people lead the parish is by serving on Vestry. A Vestry includes two Wardens (chairs), a Treasurer, a Clerk, and members-at-large.

But there's more to it. Serving on Vestry is a chance to deepen your faith. The monthly meetings offer a time of bible study and spiritual connection — and lot of laughs!

We vote in Vestry members at the Annual Meeting. If you'd like to be on Vestry, nominate yourself by emailing Rev. Lynn. Or if you see leadership qualities in a fellow parishioner, nominate them. Feel free to reach out to Rev. Lynn if you’d like to know more about serving on Vestry.
